Brooke L. Donaldson, MD, FACEP

Experience as a first responder, Emergency Medicine attending and airmedical flight physician makes Dr. Brooke Donaldson no stranger to critical incidents. She routinely works with colleagues, nursing staff, and the community to mitigate these traumatic and highly emotional situations.

Dr. Donaldson not only practices Emergency Medicine at Licking Memorial Healthsystem (LMHS) in Newark, Ohio but also serves as an airmedical flight physician specialist with MetroFlight Life Flight in Cleveland, Ohio, and teaches Advanced Trauma Life Support with the American College of Surgeons throughout Ohio.

Dr. Donaldson completed training by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. She has served as the institution’s co-founder and clinical director for the Genesis Peer Support team at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville, Ohio. In addition to her role as an EM attending, she serves as the Director of Community Resiliency for LMHS. In this role she is collaborating with local fire, EMS and police departments to create the community's first institution based peer support program.

 

While Dr. Donaldson is passionate about patient care, she is also highly committed and dedicated to the care and wellbeing of her colleagues as evidenced by her ongoing work and dedication in this field.

 

She is supported at home by her devoted husband and two sons. She is a 2007 graduate cum laude of Denison University as well as a 2011 graduate the University of Toledo College of

Medicine. She completed her residency at Akron General Medical Center where she served as chief resident.
